What is ours?
Lately I’ve been thinking about what I would want to leave behind.
Sadaqah Jariyah. Or Ongoing charity. What can I leave behind that will be of benefit even when I transition to the next part of life….death.
Before I get into this blog post I wanna say.
You will see spelling errors and grammatical mistakes.
We currently own all spelling errors and grammatical mistakes. So there is no Ai checking my work or giving me feedback. This is all from my brain 🧠.
What can I leave behind that will help me with getting good deeds when I’m long gone. sigh
My Qur’aan teacher said she wasn’t going to let her kiddos be that for her. She said because when they grow up, you dunno what they will do lol . I laughed, because the way she said it was funny, but I thought 💭 that actually made sense!
We raise our children with good intentions, pouring into the things we believe will make them good, functioning and loving humans and then some of them do some OFF THE WALL things.
So I think that is totally smart!
She made her intentions to leave some things behind. One was a book.
I’ve been thinking about this, especially recently.
What can I leave behind that will be an owning charity?
While I haven’t narrowed mine down… here’s a list of things to consider
1. Free font for Islamic schools/homeschoolers
2. Donate books to libraries/hospitals
3. Free class on Poppin Skool of Art
4. Give money to a organization that is establishing something for people
5. Free printable du’aa cards for kids
6. Illustrate a book of benefit
7. Pay what you can product tier (we’ve done before)
8. Teach something of benefit
9. Free coloring/activity book PDF
10. Sponsor a book campaign
